How it works
Organize once. Keep it current. Protect the handoff.
Life Box turns scattered documents, accounts and instructions into an organized record someone could actually use — and makes sure only the right person ever reaches it.
Build your Life Box
A guided setup walks you through your life one topic at a time — identity, family, money, insurance, legal, property, health, business, digital life, contacts and wishes. You answer what you can and skip what you can't.
Nothing you skip disappears. It becomes an entry in Items to Add, so the next session starts exactly where the last one stopped instead of at a blank page.
Add your documents
Upload a PDF, a photo of a document, a spreadsheet or a Word file. Life Box reads it, works out what it is, files it in the right category and proposes details worth recording: renewal dates, policy numbers, institutions, and the people it mentions.
Every suggestion is shown to you with the source it came from. You accept, edit or dismiss it. Nothing is written to your Life Box on its own, and when a new document conflicts with something already recorded, Life Box flags it for review rather than silently overwriting.
Name your representatives
Record your executor, estate trustee, liquidator, attorney under a power of attorney, or another person you trust. Name an alternate too — the most common failure in an estate plan is a single representative who is unavailable when needed.
Access is set per representative and per category. Your executor can be set to receive the estate and financial material while a sibling receives only the personal messages and funeral wishes. Until a claim is verified, none of them can see anything.
Keep it current
Items carry review and expiry dates, so you can see at a glance what was confirmed recently and what has drifted. Anything stale surfaces on your dashboard next to your readiness score.
Once a year, the Life Checkup walks you through the things that actually change — addresses, beneficiaries, insurance, employers, representatives — and prompts you to record a fresh message for the people you love.
The handoff
When it's needed, your representative submits a formal access claim with government identification, proof of death or incapacity, and evidence of their authority. A person at Life Box reviews the documentation. If it's approved, they receive exactly what your release rules allow.
An incapacity claim also notifies you through every channel on file and holds for a waiting period, so a claim made while you're alive and well can be stopped. If access is ever granted improperly, it can be revoked, and the log of what was viewed remains available.
