Legal

What Life Box is, and what it is not.

This page explains the limits of the service in plain language. It is a summary, not a legal contract — please see our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for the full documents.

Not a will or legal instrument

Life Box is a storage and organization service. We do not create, witness, notarize, or replace a will, power of attorney, trust, or any other legal document. Anything you store is a copy or record of information you already have. Whether a document is legally valid depends on how it was originally prepared and on the laws that apply to it.

Not legal, financial, tax, or medical advice

Life Box is software, not a law firm, financial planner, accounting practice, or medical provider. Nothing on this site or in our communications is advice about your specific estate, tax, financial, or health situation. For decisions that affect your legal rights or obligations, please speak with a qualified professional.

How we handle your data

The information you put in your Life Box is stored privately, encrypted at rest, and only released through our verified access process. We do not sell your personal information. For full details about what we collect, how we use it, and your rights, please read our Privacy Policy.

Cancellation and membership lapse

You can cancel your membership at any time from your account settings. Your access continues until the end of your current paid period. If your membership lapses, your stored data is preserved, but features such as new uploads, reminders, and representative access requests may be paused until you reactivate your membership.
